Art & Sports Notebook 2014

In the beginning of grad school I wondered why my romantic relationship was falling apart, why I stopped calling myself an artist, why I wasn't an athlete, what qualities did I have in common with Shaq, what were the qualities of successful people across disciplines, who has the better problem solving skills - athletes or artists? What kind of skills do artists have? Athletes? What are the problems in sports? In art?

To collect my research, I compiled a public, online notebook of a variety of images, essays, reflections, and memories about art and sports.

The notebook research culminated in an eight-week lecture series held at the Portland State University Rec Center, and a performative lecture at The Talk Shop in Kansas City, MO.
